Mandy is an experienced counsellor and supervisor who has worked extensively with clients who have experienced trauma in their lives. Mandy also works as a GP Counsellor within the NHS. She has a Masters Degree in Counselling (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Diploma in Consultative Supervision from the University of Wales (Newport).
Mandy's research project explored the relationship between sexual abuse, symptoms of post traumatic stress and early maladaptive schemas.
In addition to her extensive work with clients who have suffered from sexual, physical and emotional abuse, Mandy has a great deal of experience in working with depression, anxiety, self-harm, low self-esteem, grief and loss and relationship difficulties. Mandy is an integrative counsellor working primarily from a cognitive-behavioural perspective, using schema therapy for dealing with deeper problems from childhood. She is a member of the British Association for counsellors and Psychotherapists and is bound by the ethical framework for good practice.
Alongside working with individuals, Mandy also works with couples to address relationship issues, which may include infidelity, domestic violence/anger management, pressure of financial responsibilities and problems within the wider family circle.

Allyson gained her Masters degree in Counselling (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) from University of Wales (Newport) in 2006 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Consultative Supervision in 2008. Her thesis addressed Mothers in Therapy and their styles, perceptions and beliefs of parenting.
Allyson works extensively with Employee Assistance Programmes and insurance companies, where she offers short term, solution focussed counselling to assist people address their psychological responses to work related issues, such as bullying, disciplinary procedures, relationship dynamics and trauma related incidents, such as road traffic accidents.
She has also worked within an agency for survivors of rape and childhood sexual abuse. To enhance her work with survivors Allyson has undertaken further specialist training relating to working with intimacy and sexuality, rage and anger, understanding abuser profiles and implementing healing tasks.
In addition, Allyson has experience of supervising qualified and trainee counsellors, on an individual basis and in a group setting, at agencies offering counselling for trauma and bereavement.Allyson is passionate about helping people fulfil their potential and heal from traumatic experiences.
